Cocktail ageing and the gourd in the spotlight is a seminar about Gourd Ageing, an old method of carrying wine and water by the shepherds back in the day on the mountains of Cyprus.
The gourd was used either plain or coated with beeswax and pine resin. Each version gives us different result to the cocktail or the spirit.
On this seminar we will explore the gourd as a vessel, the history behind and on how we can expand the use of the gourd as an ageing vessel and to open new ways of experimenting with flavors in the bar scene.
